Company History
AITIA International Inc. was established in 1995 and reorganized into its current format: AITIA International ZRt. on January 1st, 2005 to comply with the needs of the speedily varying market environment with a more modern and dynamic corporate structure. Its proprietors are Hungarian private individuals. The U.S. subsidiary was established in the same year, and has offices in Vienna, Virginia and Wayne, New Jersey. Our company forwent other domestic or foreign resources to achieve its results. Our developments were brought into effect only with own financial and intellectual property. The net turnover exceeded 0,5 billion Forint in 2005 and it is increasing continually.
Business name
The name AITIA stands for: Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Intelligent Agents. It also means "reason, originator and essence of things" in Greek, by Aristotle's definition.
Business field
AITIA International, Inc. plays a dominant part in the projects related to innovative research and developments based on artificial intelligence. In addition, our company is also engaged in applied developments in speech technology, Internet and telecommunications. We make use of our research results in the real world. We participate in numerous research and development tenders as applied research partners.
Colleagues
Our associates are highly qualified research developers, working by the highest standards and work ethics. In addition to our 50+ full-time employees we occupy nearly thirty undergraduates and Ph.D. students via tender and university cooperation. Our executives are academic researchers. Our principle is that providing students with on-hands and real-world experience is just as important as classroom-knowledge.
Strategic partnership
In telecommunications and speech technology research we collaborate with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The study takes place in the laboratory for signal processing (TSP Lab) at the Department of Telecommunications and Media Informatics (BUTE) within the University's campus. AITIA and the Cooperation Research Center for Informatics at the Eötvös Loránd University are the founding members (ELU) for artificial intelligence and agent-based simulation projects. In addition, we hold working relationships with a great number of firms, institutes and research facilities in Hungary and around the world. |  |
